Ross and Kellys Big Surprise

Last month on a beautiful day in May, Kelly married her childhood sweetheart Ross. Ross and Kelly have been together a long time, but it was amazing to see a groom still so nervous to see his bride. The day was definitely a celebration of their love and strength.  On the morning of the wedding, it was clear to see by the banter and laughter among the bride and all her bridesmaids and flower-girls that the couple were well loved and adored as a team.  Kelly had her hair done by Peter Creilly  and make up by Gill Brownlie at the LA salon in Bellshill.

Kelly and her squad all had matching housecoats and slippers on as they got pampered and polished by the staff at the salon.  It was then back to Kellys mums house for champagne, breakfast and to get their dresses on.  Kelly wore a beautiful dress from Wed2Be in Glasgow  and her bridesmaids and flowergirls wore dresses from Special Days Bridal in Bathgate

Kelly had pulled out all the stops to make sure everyone was comfortable, herself and daughter Kimberly wearing matching customized converse and everyone had their own bouquet charms of loved ones that were lost (not just Kelly herself but each of the bridesmaids)

For the first time ever, I had a bride before the groom. Kelly was told to do another drive around the block whilst poor Ross came hopping in with 5 minutes to go..i never did find out why, im sure it was down to an usher.

The race to the alter didnt do Ross heart any favours as he looked to be one of the most nervous grooms I've ever seen.   All it seemed to take was a smile from his bride to calm his nerves though.

The ceremony at Sacred Heart Chapel was beautiful and as the sun shone we took some group shots outside whilst waiting patiently for the coach (which never turned up )

A few phone calls later and  taxis were called for the last remaining guests.

The sun never let up and as the group shots were taken in Strathclyde Park the kids played outside and it really was a relaxed affair.

As guests were seated Kelly and Ross took a minute to take it all in and toasted themselves with their first official round as the new Mr and Mrs Davidson.

They were welcomed in to cut their cake and take their places at  their top table, now this is where the fun really began.  After some emotional speeches and some ribbing form father and son (Ross dad was his best man) next came the BIG SURPRISE

Kelly and Ross had booked the singing waiters from Silver Service

and not a soul knew about it.

They had kept it a huge surprise, and what a surprise it was, their was the proclaimers being belted out, a conga through the tables and everyone on their chairs and swinging  their napkins.  It was EPIC, and the best wedding breakfast ive ever seen.

It started the part earlier than expected but meant that people were ready to party there and then.

A beautiful first dance soon followed after the meal, and with their family photos up on a projecter behind them it really was symbolic of how much family meant to this lovely couple. The first dance was followed  by a father and daughter dance,  and then everyone partied until the wee small hours.  It was a great day and one that I will remember for all the right reasons.

Ross and Kelly have a wonderful life together, it was a pleasure to attend and document a really fantastic day and night.
